Yoga:
These ancient practices handed down through generations of master to master have been shown to recapture vitality, restore youthfulness, and relive stress.

Yoga means "union" in Sanskrit.  The aim of practicing the poses, or "asanas" in yoga is to unify  the mind and body thus reducing stress, energizing the body and clearing the mind.

What to expect - Classes are anywhere from 1 to 1.5 hours, dress in comfy but somewhat fitted clothing.  The material is best when breathable.  Bring water, a small hand towel, a mat, and what ever props you might have.  To do yoga you will need to be able to sit on the floor and stand on your own.

Chi Gong:
We live in a field of chi, "vital breath" or "life energy".  Yet, like a fish in water, we are unaware of the medium that supports us.  Chi Gong means "energy work".  It is the ancient Chinese art and science of becoming aware of this life energy and learning how to control its flow through a precise choreography of posture, movement, respiratory technique, and meditation.  Chi Gong teaches psycho-physiological self-regulation; becoming aware of bodily functions conventionally considered involuntary.  Blood pressure, respiratory rate, even the flow of blood and nutrients to internal organs can be regulated and restored to a healthier balance.  Chi Gong is one of the most cost-effective self-healing methods in the world.  The only investment needed is time, a half-hour to an hour a day to achieve better health, increase vitality, and greater peace.

What to expect - Chi Gong is done standing and will last from .5 to 1.0 hours.  Wear comfy somewhat loose fitted clothing, bring water, and small hand towel.  Now offering standing and seated classes.
